"Extremely Distinguished Dog" Book

 

This wonderful little book (40 pages) was given to us when we lost our Annie in 2007 and we received great comfort from it. It is a poignant story written by Eugene O'Neill, the famous playwright, in the early 1940s about the loss of his dog "Blemie". The story is told from the dog's point of view and movingly describes the ache all dog owners feel as their pet's end of life nears.

 

Although written many years ago, the story is timeless and eases the pain of our sad parting with remberances of the amazing joy and happiness we both shared. For all those who have loved and lost a beloved pet, here is a tale that will help ease the pain. Wonderful as a sympathy gift.
